DP World is a major service provider of stevedoring logistics through container terminal operations in Australia and provides specialised services for a wide range of cargo handling. DP World is the most experienced provider of container handling services in Australia. It pioneered the development of container handling services in Australia from the advent of containerisation in the 1960’s. The Company currently handles approximately 50% of all containers loaded and discharged in Australia.

DP World provides container handling stevedoring at 4 sites around Australia in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane & Perth.

• Diamond provided the following key services from 2003 to 2012: management support, development of maritime security plans, supply on 24/7 maritime security guards (with MSIC licences), emergency incident management and system development, proven capability at prolonged high demand emergency response for critical incidents and Port related exercises, enforcement of the Maritime Transport and Offshore Security Act 2003 (MTOFSA) and regulations throughout the port facility, established best practice incident reporting procedures exceeding contractual KPI’s and providing POMC with lead data security awareness in the port, maritime security guards, development of Standard Operating Procedures, water response craft – coxswains and support crew, special event security teams (requiring up to 50 personnel for emergencies including bomb threats, chemical spills and both civil and industrial disturbances), development of IT solutions in container transfer and access control, traffic management and control, health and safety provision including operating a first aid medical centre, mobile / foot patrols, access control, risk management, planning and conducting desk top exercises, participation in Port of Melbourne Corporation security committee meetings and interagency cooperation with key port stakeholders and government departments, active participants in port exercises, control room operations, screening services, terminal safety security officers, warden services, training (emergency services including first aid level 2 and 3, rescue, fire, safety and traffic control).
