Since 1995, Diamond has been providing professional Security and Emergency Service Officers (ESO’s) to a variety of industries including oil and gas, military, airforce, mining and other resource and critical infrastructure facilities.

IMMEDIATE START:

Expression of Interest Open for Oil and Gas Division – Emergency Service Officers (ESO) Team Leader (TL) positions within Surat Basin (Queensland Australia).  Roles include a 14 on / 14 off roster with travel to site from Brisbane and all living expenses included. 

Skills and Qualifications Required:

Applicants need to be trained, current and experienced as an Emergency Service Officer (ESO) team leaders in the resource industry with the following skills:

·         Fire suppression

·         Confined space rescue

·         Vertical rescue

·         Road crash rescue

·         Hazmat incident response

Applicants require qualifications in the skills sets above and the following minimum qualifications:

 Ø  PUA3061 Certificate III in Public Safety (Fire Fighting / Emergency Operations) with the following elements:

·         PUASAR032A Undertake vertical rescue 

·         PUASAR025A Undertake confined space rescue 

·         PUASAR024A Undertake road crash rescue

·         PUAFIR309A Operate pumps 

·         PUAFIR306B Render hazardous materials incidents safe 

·         PUAFIR308B Employ personal protection at a hazardous materials incident 

·         Either PUAFIR307B Monitor hazardous atmospheres / PUAFIR316 Identify, detect and monitor hazardous materials at an incident 

and the following elements of the Certificate IV in Public Safety (Firefighting Supervision):

·         PUAOPE0015A – Conduct Briefings and Debriefings

·         PUAOPE012A – Control a Level 1 Incident (Urban Specific)

·         PUATEA003B – Lead, Manage and Develop Teams

OR hold:

·         PUA40313 Certificate IV in Public Safety (Firefighting Supervision)

·        Certificate IV Trainer/Assessor

·        PUASAR032A – Undertake Vertical Rescue

·        PUASAR025A – Undertake Confined Space Rescue

·        PUASAR024A – Undertake Road Crash Rescue

·        PUAFIR309A – Operate Pumps

·        PUAFIR306B – Render Hazardous Materials Incidents Safe

·        PUAFIR308B – Employ Personal Protection at a Hazardous Materials Incident

·        PUAFIR307B – Monitor Hazardous Atmospheres OR PUAFIR316 – Identify, Detect and Monitor Hazardous Materials at an Incident

·        HLTAID006 Provide Advanced first aid

·        HLTAID007 Advanced resuscitation (refresher each 12 months)

·        HLTAID006 Provide Advanced first aid

·        HLTAID007 Advanced resuscitation (refresher each 12 months)

·        Current Medium Rigid Driver’s Licence

Team Leader Emergency Response key duties include:

·         Demonstrated leadership skills and proven ability to supervise multi – skilled teams;

·         Knowledge of legislation/statutory requirements in relation to critical infrastructure, emergency management, fire safety, security, safety, health, environmental and dangerous goods;

·         Supervision of resources and the development and application of strategies to manage emergency incidents;

·         Experience in participating in exercises and delivery of training to teams and clients;

·         Experience in the applications of Australasian Inter-Agency Incident Management System (AIIMS);

Other duties include:

·         Responding to all incidents as required

·         Custody and management of equipment

·         Undertaking training, drills and simulated emergencies

·         Operating pumps / gas testing, and or rescue standby duties

·         Other emergency combat functions
